This classic Wembley home needed a helping hand to take if from an old rental property to a modern vibrant family home. Our clients were looking for a local Home Extension builder in Wembley to extend, renovation and makeover their home to crate more space; a new modern kitchen and open living area. Core WA was excited to take on this project with the opportunity to create a new home with a modern twist on the classic Wembley style home.

The original two bedrooms and lounge areas were transformed by taking out all the dated 80’s add ins and restoring original features such as lead glass in doors and windows to retain the 1940’s charm. The original kitchen was cramped and had very little storage, so a new larger kitchen was created as part of the open plan living area, creating more space and light.

New designs were required for the tired-looking main bathroom and laundry. Functionality was the top of the client’s list of priorities for these two rooms. The end result was a more user-friendly layout with a crisp, clean feel. Added to the extension were windows and doors which stretch the length of the rear of the house, giving it style and elegance. The old pergola was removed and the roof of the home extended, creating a fabulous outdoor stone paved alfresco, effectively breathing new life into the backyard. The back garden was cleared and landscaped turning it into the ideal area for entertaining and for children.
